6. Need for Nuclear Disarmament

The weapons available today are so destructive that they could lead to generation after generation of children suffering with severe defects. Countless children are seeing their parents being killed in the most inhumane fashion and all they can do is wonder why their parents have been taken away from them. Thousands of women are left widowed, hopeless and vulnerable.

“Whilst perhaps the major powers keep nuclear weapons as a deterrent, there is no guarantee that the smaller countries will show such restraint. We cannot take it for granted that they will never use nuclear weapons. Thus, it is clear that the world stands on the brink of disaster.” – Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad

If we are to leave behind a legacy of hope for our children and bequeath a peaceful world to our future generations, we must urgently change our priorities and recognize the need for nuclear disarmament.

Instead of embarking on an arms race, leading to death and destruction, we must join the race to save and protect humanity.
